A Happy Accident Turned New Idea

During end-of-season pack-up, I came across a box of yarn I bought purely on instinct. No project in mind—just impossibly soft, plushy, and too good to leave behind.

It sat for a while, waiting.

Recently, it clicked.

I’ve started experimenting with handmade cat beds, playing with different shapes and styles because—if you live with a cat—you know they all have very specific comfort requirements. Some want to curl into a tight little ball, some want walls, and some want a cozy cave where the world disappears for a while.

This phase is all about testing:

what holds its shape best, what feels the coziest, and what actually gets used instead of politely ignored.

I’ll be sharing the experimenting process here—what works, what I tweak, and which styles pass the unofficial (but very serious) cat approval tests.

More to come as this idea settles into its final form.
